The 1st solo single from Teppei Koike without any collaboration from his duo member; Eiji Wentz released on Sept 24, 2009 and reach #4 in weekly Oricon Chart.
Kimi dake, the first song had been composed by Teppei himself. A pop ballad song with an acoustic guitar and soft piano in the melody, this song can be describe as one of the best songs that he has ever created. Teppei really know what kind of music and genre that really suit with his voice. Hearing the song and watch the PV revealed a more matured image in him as per his experience in music industry. And Teppei has approved his ability in song writing and composing.
I also like the 2nd song of this single, Rough Writer. With some help from Daizo for composing this song, its really make this song are one of the best song. (Teppei had made collaboration in the lyric song writing). Even though its hear that Teppei’s pitching a little out during the chorus but its still ok coz the overall song has block this weaknesses. Its a high tones song with the moderate tempo that are quite differ from his previous song. Its a quite difficult song.
3rd song in the single is the acoustic version of Kimi ni Okuru Uta, one of his hits song. Nothing much to say ‘bout this song and I don’t mind what version it has come, as i really love and like this song. The acoustic version or the original version has its own uniqueness and Teppei has brings his best effort in singing this song. Sorely to say this is one of his best songs ever.
Overall, this single are best and superb… All the songs in the single are splendid..
