Koike Teppei + AAA’s Nishijima Takahiro to star in new mobile drama

Actors Koike Teppei and Nishijima Takahiro (AAA) will be starring in BeeTV’s new mobile drama, titled “Shounan☆Natsukoi Monogatari“.
The drama is about two unpopular boys named Nonomura Yosuke (Koike) and Kawai Akira(Nishijima), who meet at a beach house after searching for a place to fit in. Usuda Asami and Kinami Haruka will also co-star in this bittersweet summer love story.
Koike and Nishijima play two very different roles in the drama. “After playing this role, I felt that a person’s talent can bloom during any encounter or with any timing. When I compare myself to him, he’s too good of a person,” said Koike. Regarding Koike’s comment, Nishijima enthusiastically stated, “We are alike when it comes to honesty. I had fun playing the total opposite role of Yosuke.
Koike also commented, “I can relate to young people’s troubles with love and dreams. I’m also encouraged when I see them working hard. It would make me happy if they realize that love and friendship is a good thing after watching this drama.
“Shounan☆Natsukoi Monogatari” will air on BeeTV every Wednesday beginning August 1st. Each episode will run for 10 minutes, with a total of 12 episodes.

Review
If to compare between this movie and Gegege no Kitaro, I like this movie much much more and I think this movie are more better than the previous one. The plot and the story line are more interesting with a some of fighting scene of Kitaro with his primary weapon of flying wooden sandal and needle hair and also a flashback of Kitaro's origin. Each cast also had made a tremendousness way of acting and a lot of mistake in the first movie had been improved in this movie. Somehow, even though it's more interesting than the first movie but it can be more better.

Ever since the Inari shrine in the mountain behind the housing complex that Kenta lives with his father Haruhiko and his sister Mika in high school had begun to be dismantled to make way for a theme park, weird Yokai have appeared on a daily basis, plunging the inhabitants into terror and chaos.

Meanwhile, major trouble was brewing in the Yokai world as well. The Yokai stone that had been carefully sealed deep underground had disappeared without a trace. The Yokai stone possessed special powers due to the accumulation over thousands of years of the wicked desires of humans who caused earthshaking incidents in human history. Review

Even though someone will think this story are something that are childish and un-logical but for me who also like to watch an anime and non-fiction story like this watching Kitaro something that is ok for me.

However, sometimes I do also feel bored and awkward with some of the character even though the story line are quite interesting. The funny moment that they want to reveal also not really stunning in this movie. Every cast in the movie also has a moderate style of acting. The forbidden love and friendship between Yokai and human are something that interesting in this movie and somehow I feel sorry and sad to Kitaro when at the end his human friend not remember him at all.

Review

I really like the storyline of this Drama, even though it short (only 5 episodes), it differ with the other J-Drama that I’ve seen before.

Teppei as a lead actor also has shows his improvement in his acting, in this Drama he shows his ability in playing as a serious character, his monologue also good. We can feel his sad and in conflict emotion in this Drama as he being forces to participate in the selling department and also involves in bid-rigging activity.

For me, this Drama is good but really short not like the others J-Drama before (usually 10 episodes). A lot of knowledge we can learn about bid-rigging. All the episodes are so interest to be seen and not even one scene makes me feel bored and want to forward it. For those who like something different and serious in J-Drama I sorely recommend it.
