Synopsis
The Yokai world exists beyond human knowledge. There, Kitaro lives peacefully with his father Daddy Eyeball and his friends Cat-girl, Old Crybaby and Sand Witch. One day, he received a letter in Yokai mailbox. A grade school boy, Kenta Miura, had written to ask for help. Ever since the Inari shrine in the mountain behind the housing complex that Kenta lives with his father Haruhiko and his sister Mika in high school had begun to be dismantled to make way for a theme park, weird Yokai have appeared on a daily basis, plunging the inhabitants into terror and chaos.
Meanwhile, major trouble was brewing in the Yokai world as well. The Yokai stone that had been carefully sealed deep underground had disappeared without a trace. The Yokai stone possessed special powers due to the accumulation over thousands of years of the wicked desires of humans who caused earthshaking incidents in human history. Lagend has it that if it falls into the hands of a Yokai who had practiced asceticism for many years, then he will be blessed with the incredible powers.
The biggest battle in history of the Yokai world is about to begin, one that will change Kitaro's fate!

Review
Even though someone will think this story are something that are childish and un-logical but for me who also like to watch an anime and non-fiction story like this watching Kitaro something that is ok for me.
However, sometimes I do also feel bored and awkward with some of the character even though the story line are quite interesting. The funny moment that they want to reveal also not really stunning in this movie. Every cast in the movie also has a moderate style of acting. The forbidden love and friendship between Yokai and human are something that interesting in this movie and somehow I feel sorry and sad to Kitaro when at the end his human friend not remember him at all.
